Finally the family is here in the UK to attend my graduation (minus adik who's got SPM this year and kak Fa who is in fact in Newcastle still having exams). Picked them up at Heathrow airport (slightly late due to delay in bus service) and off we go to Cardiff on the bus. Maybe due to the time difference/jet lag I was woken up at 5am this morning so that my parents can make breakfast ( i just fell asleep not 2 hours before.. waiting for subuh to come).
We went to St. Fagans castle today. Missed the first bus by maybe 2 mins and had to wait another hour for the next bus. So we went exploring the local market and bought some raspberries and cherries. And before the 1 hour was up we went to the bus station again just in case we missed the bus for the second time. I had been to St Fagans once before about xmas time but it is definitely more beautiful in summer. I think we explored about 45% of the ground before going home. You really do need a lot of energy and a lot of time to explore every bit of this beautiful castle grounds.

I haven't been out on new year's eve ever, but this time I decided to experience my last new year's eve in Cardiff with my housies. We went out about 10pm and had actually tried a few rides as well. I thought they were quite expensive e(since we did no bring that much money with us). The rides i tries really made me a little woozy and nauseous especially the freddy krueger one. It was not even scary just that going round and round in circles tend to make people feel slightly ill especially as it went up and down at the same time. I think we left the scene of the crime at 1.20am with our faithful driver Aidil coming to pick us up!

Winter Holidays to Nice and Monaco, France

This year's winter trip was to Nice and Monaco, well Nice mostly. The trip was short, about 4 days and 3 nights and the group consisted of myself, Ude, Lala, Anne [Lala's sis], Anis [Anne's friend] and Ijan [lala&ude's housemate]. The four of us (minus Anne and Anis) from Cardiff boarded the coach from Cardiff at 1.55am to London Gatwick Airport. The flight was scheduled for 8.25am, and we checked in with relatively little hassle. Although I did have to repacked all the liquid stuffs as the new rule for liquids in hand luggage required the liquids container not to be more than 100ml and placed in a clear resealable plastic bag. And I was quite amazed too when we were asked to removed our shoes during security check at the departure gate. The process was quite long and tedious and by the time all of us finally managed to pass through, we had no time for breakfast!
We arrived in Nice Airport at about 10.45am (+1 hr time difference). There we purchased the all day bus ticket (cost= 4 Euro) and promptly took a bus (bus no. 23) to Villa Saint Exupery, which is situated close to Saint Maurice Square. From there we called the Villa and were picked up by one of the employee there. After a bit of rest and a bit of light lunch, we set off to Nice-Ville, which is Nice town centre.

[b] Yati (from Ireland) came to visit, hence the trip to Cardiff Castle. Pity though that we weren't allowed to take pictures of the chambers within the castle. Fascinating things really, with walls design and painted in 24k GOLD!!! Oh and one room actually had Islamic designs...
The Marquess who formerly owned the castle was a very intellectual man who actually learnt and was proficient in 20 different languages. All rooms were carefully designed, depicting a sense of style as well as vast intellect. He actually owned about 40 different estates, chateau and summer houses and was the richest man in England at the time. The current Marquess (7th generation) is residing in Scotland and was formerly the Driver for F1 Jaguar.
